Event Description

Introduction to Climbing 101
Hosted by the Norman Backwoods and Rocktown

Part I - at Norman Backwoods
Wednesday, October 21st from 7:30 - 9:30pm

Part II - at Rocktown Climbing Gym
Saturday, October 24th from 10:30am - 2:30pm

Join us for an informative, interactive class that will provide first time or novice climbers with an introduction to basic climbing procedures, terminology, knots, the proper use of equipment and a slide
show highlighting local climbing areas.
There is no fee for Part I and it open for everyone.

Part II will focus on practical application. The safety system is demonstrated, rope signals learned and participants will practice on a toprope climb.
Part I is a prerequisite for Part II and there is a $16 fee for Part II payable to Rocktown Climbing Gym.
